One of the Florida Veterans Foundation’s main missions is to provide Emergency Assistance to our Florida Veterans and their families. In order to qualify for financial aid, our Florida Veterans must meet certain criteria prior to assistance being provided, and must submit a complete Financial Aid Application. To better understand how Florida veterans qualify, please visit Eligibility Guidelines here.
The Florida Veterans Foundation Emergency Assistance Program is funded in part by tax-exempt contributions made by generous donors who, like the Foundation, wish to make a difference in our Florida Veterans’ lives. Our veterans are returning from war with a myriad of issues, including, but not limited to: wounds, PTSD, unemployment, financial hardships and the like. We need your donations to help our Florida veterans overcome the obstacles they are facing.
The Florida Veterans Foundation Emergency Assistance Committee reviews each application carefully before making a decision to accept or deny a case. All decisions are final and are not subject to appeal.
Once an application is received, it is reviewed to ensure all documentation has been received. The more complete an application, the quicker a determination can be delivered. The Foundation attempts to review Emergency Assistance Requests within 48 hours. Missing documentation prolongs Committee review and determination results.
